BERLIN, Conn. -- Dozens of Connecticut pottery studios could be exposing children to dangerous levels of lead dust. Beth Provost, of Niantic, has three young girls. She has spent her share of time at paint-your-own pottery studios. "They would go for birthday parties, they would go for play dates. We'd be over there several times a year," she said. Ullmann, Ph.D., who previously served as Director of the Laboratory Division of the Connecticut State Department of Health Services. Prior to coming to Connecticut, Dr. Ullmann served as Senior Chemist with the Division of Laboratories and Research for the New York State Department of Health’s Division of Laboratories and Research.
